July 2025, my ex-husband of 6 years (9 years together in total) dropped the bomb that he didn't love me anymore and left. After spending 9 years of my life loving him, giving him 2 kids, and dedicating my time to him, this completely shattered me. We were about to buy a home together for our children, and I was looking forward to the future we had ahead of us. I spent months doing the bare minimum: going to work, taking care of my kids, lying in bed depressed, and doing anything I could to be as happy as I could. Heartbreak makes you do stupid things, and during this extremely dark time in my life, I ended up using my credit cards irresponsibly and racked up over $7,000 in debt. I was clearly not in my right mind, but I believe it was very helpful to my healing.

A few months later, I had to build savings and quit my job due to my childcare falling through and needing to be home with my daughter, who has epilepsy. Here I am 1 year later, and I am more healed, stable, and happier, and I am experiencing the consequences of my actions and a depleted savings account. I am tired of the constant stress I feel and applying to endless remote jobs just to never hear back. I am now doing everything I can to chase my dreams, create content, build a business, and be able to be home for my babies as a single mom. (And who knows, maybe I can buy a house by myself). I am documenting my journey to financial freedom, weight loss, parenting, self-improvement, and anything I can.
